Ida M. Hamlin, 85, 944 Vincent Blvd., was pronounced dead on arrival at Alliance City Hospital at 7:43 p.m. Thursday following a six-month illness. She had been taken to the hospital from Blossom Nursing Center.
A retired sales clerk, Mrs. Hamlin was born in Alliance, Sept. 18, 1895, to John E. and Mary Shea Perry and had lived here all of her life.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Woman's Guild. Her husband, Clyde A., died May 10, 1949.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Vada) Wachsman of Alliance; a sister, Mrs. Ann Barnes of Alliance; four grandchildren, a great-grandson, two nephews and a niece. Two sisters and four brothers died previously.
