Asheville -- Roger Lane Metcalf, 64, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2010.
He was born on March 3, 1946 in Buncombe County. He was the son of the late Ralph Edward Metcalf and Mildred Montana Emory Metcalf. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Lee Metcalf and sister, Marcia Gail Metcalf Rice.
He was survived by his brothers, Ralph Michael "Mike" Metcalf and Larry Wayne Metcalf; sisters, Brenda Diane Metcalf Ramsey and Patricia Ilene "Trisha" Metcalf Smith.
Visitation was held at 2:30PM, June 27, 2010 at Trinity Baptist Church, 216 Shelburne Road, Asheville, N.C. A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. with Pastor Donnie Walker officiating. Asheville Area Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services assisted the family.
