Well Known Gampian Lady Dies, Aged 79
Mrs. Rebecca Sulsbaugh Was Born in Lawrence Township
Mrs. Rebecca Sulsbaugh, widow of Henry Sulsbaugh, died at her home in Grampian, June 15th, 1916. She had been in ill health for some time but the immediate cause of her death was bronchitis and gall trouble. Mrs. Sulsbaugh was a daughter of John and Nancy Ann Hall, was born in Lawrence Township, Clearfield County, May 9th, 1837, and was therefore aged seventy-nine years, one month and six days. She was the mother of five children, all now deceased but Helen at home. She is survived by the following brother and sisters: Geo H. Hall, Mrs. Julia Dressler, Home Camp, Mrs. Mary Ross, Osseo, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Lena Hocker, Phoenix, Arizona. Mrs. Sulsbaugh was an exemplary wife and mother, a kind neighbor and will be greatly missed in her home and community. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. In the absence of her pastor, Rev. M. C. Flegal, the funeral service was conducted from her late residence, Saturday afternoon, June 17th, by Rev. J. Max Lantz, of Curwensville. Interment in the family lot in the Curwensville Cemetery.
