Services for Ben Hutto, 74 of Tyler are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Pollard United Methodist Church with the Revs. Rob Fisher, Richard Luna and Stephanie Scott officiating, under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors. He will be laid to rest in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery.

Ben went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, in Tyler. He was born July 18, 1936, in Shelby County to the late Carter Rankin and Eva Parker Hutto. He served in the Texas National Guard, was a teacher with the Tyler Independent School District and was a member of Pollard United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Hutto.

He is survived by his loving family, wife, Pat Hutto of Tyler; two daughters, Toni Doel of Airdrie, Alberta, Canada, and Shannon Williamson of Tyler; two brothers, Bill Hutto of Bryan and Tony Hutto of Paris; and three grandchildren, Weaver Williamson, Riley Williamson and Shelby Doel.

Pallbearers will be Paul Hutto, Travis Buhman, Michael Moffitt, Mike Ragan, Billy Purdue and Jerry England. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Johnson and Jerry Ragan.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
