Ronald Charles Smith, 71, Pendleton, SC died Monday, March 11, 2002.

Ronald was born in Windsor, Vt to Harold and Flora (Kavanagh) Smith. Ronald received his schooling in Windsor and was also a member of the United States Navy. He was a mechanic for many years and was a member of the V.F.W.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia L. Smith; a son Ronald Smith, of Virginia Beach, VA, daughters, Susan Smith of Windsor, VT and Robin Paquette of Ocala, FL; a stepson, Floyd Mizzles, of Spotsylvania, Va.; stepdaughters, Irene Ormand of Walhalla, NC and Darlene Patz of Charlotte, NC, and several grandchildren ; a brother, Raymond Smith, of Windsor, Vt.; sisters, Pauline Wirasnik, Kay Daignault and Patricia Abbott, all of Windsor, VT; and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Sylvia Gates.

Memorial service: 4 p.m. today at The McDougald Funeral Home.
