FAYETTEVILLE ~ Berry Newton Sullivan, 81, of State Line, died in Lincoln County Hospital in Fayetteville Thursday after a long illness.
A funeral was today at 2 p.m. at the State Line Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Jones and Rev. Jim Eddy Whitt officiating. Burial was in State Line Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home of Fayetteville in charge.
Mr. Sullivan was a native of Lincoln County and a member of the State Line Methodist Church.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Mollie Thompson Sullivan; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Roden of Huntsville, Mrs. Rosie Benson and Mrs. Katherine Hargraves, both of Madison County, and Mrs. Lula Mae Quick of Lincoln County; two sons, Albert Sullivan of Madison County and Johnnie Sullivan of Lincoln County; a half-sister, Mrs. Onie Hastings of Shelbyville, Tenn.; two half-brothers, Houston Sullivan of Fayetteville and Boone Sullivan of Nashville; and 28 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
