Charles F. Baasch, 82. of 521 S. Dittmer St., Davenport, died at 11 p.m Tuesday in his home. Born Jan 29, 1874, in Germany, he came to the United States at the age of nine, and has made his home in Davenport since that time. December 12, 1896, he married Tillie Fick, in Walcott. The couple celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary In December, 1946. Mr. Baasch was employed by the Voss Manufacturing Co., retiring in 1952. He was a 40 year member of the Moose and a member of Grace Methodist Church. Surviving are the widow; daughter, Lillie, of Davenport; a son, Ben Baasch. of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a brother, William Paulsen, of Davenport. Three sisters preceded him in death. The body was taken to the Runge Mortuary.
