Mrs. Tillie M. Baasch. 85, who formerly resided at 521 S. Dittmer St., Davenport, died at 10 a.m. Monday in the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Charles Schmidt, R. R. No. 4, Davenport. She was born in Walcott, Feb. 17, 1872. She was married to Charles Baasch in Walcott, Dec. 12, 1896. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1946. Mr. Baasch died May 29, 1956. Mrs. Baasch was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Survivors include a son, Ben, and a grandson of Cedar Rapids; her granddaughter. Mrs. Schmidt; two brothers, Ferdinand Fick, Sullivan. Ill., and Gus Fick, Walcott. She was preceded in death by a daughter. The body was taken to the Runge Mortuary, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
