Mary Alice (Sears) Parkey Dykes

Mary Alice Dykes of Eubank, Pulaski County, Kentucky, died after an illness of several months. She was 82 years old.

She was a member of the Rock Lick Baptist Church.

She was survived by her sons, Reverend Ollie Parkey of Eula and Millard Parkey of Eula; her daughters, Ethel Daniel of Eubank, Kentucky, Hattie Randall of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Susie Clark of Indianapolis, Indiana; her sisters, Hettie Milles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Lizzie Waddle of Poplarville; and her brothers, Shelby Sears of Mt. Victory, Garrison Sears of Mt. Victory, and Robert Sears of Poplarville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jonathan B. Sears and Harriet (Farmer) Sears; her first husband, J.P. Parkey; and her second husband, Ed Dykes.

Funeral services were held at the Rock Lick Baptist Church with Reverend Eugene Hansford officiating.

Farris-Morris-Hislope Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
