Nick Carter, age 70 of Moulton, Iowa passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa, Iowa.

He was born in Centerville, Iowa on August 4, 1944, the son of William "Bill" and Grace "Arlene"(Albee)Carter. Nick graduated from Moulton-Udell High School in 1962.

Nick was an avid farmer all of his life. He spent much of his life farming with his father, Bill. He engaged in all aspects of the farming industry. Although the majority of Nick's farming dealt with row crop, he farmed cattle as well. In his younger years, Nick enjoyed boating, especially slalom water skiing. He was also active in both pool and bowling leagues. Nick also enjoyed attending tractor and truck pulls.

He is survived by his three children, Ronnie(Candi)Bratz of Centerville, Iowa, Lori Dawn(Bill)McAllister of Bloomfield, Iowa and Alyssia Ann(Don)Hawkins of Columbia, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, Preston(Denise)Webster of Tempe, Arizona, Kadie Webster of St. Louis, Missouri, Shane Hawkins of Columbia, Missouri, Carter Hawkins of Columbia, Missouri, Autumn Hawkins of Columbia, Missouri, Ryan, Jessica, Katie, Presley, River and Wrenn Bratz all of Centerville, Iowa; two uncles, Jim Carter of Centerville, Iowa and Max Yvon(Erma)Albee of Illinois; an aunt, Helen Wold of Florida; a cousin, Richard(Sharon)Albee of Monroe Center, Illinois; and several other cousins.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Rollie(Ivis)Carter; and maternal grandparents, Yvon(Mildred "Love")Albee.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Rev. Jim Schweizer officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery east of Centerville. A visitation will be held at Lange Funeral Home on Monday from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the Mt. Ararat Cemetery and given to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
