Viola Cooper age 77, of DeFuniak Springs passed away February 5, 2015. She was born October 10, 1937 in Covington County to Joseph Samuel Cooper and Velma Seals Cooper. Viola was Presbyterian by faith. She was employed with Civil Service at Eglin AFB for 19 years then transferred to the State Department in Washington DC for 2 years. After returning home to Paxton, she worked 6 years with the Walton County Sheriff’s office in human resource. Viola loved to travel, cook, and was a published writer, however she would tell you her family was her greatest joy and most prize possession. Her faith and love for God never wavered but only grew stronger.

She is survived by 2 sons, Steve Franklin and Mark Franklin and wife Lisa of Florala, daughter Suzan Imfeld and husband Bill of DeFuniak Springs, grandsons Michael Justin Chambers & Austin Franklin of Paxton, granddaughter, Molly Logue of Florala and Erica Gant of Opp, sister, Vela Walden and brother Dempsey Cooper. She is also survived by an abundance of extended love ones including several wonderful and sweet nephews and nieces she loved very much. Viola is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Velma Cooper of Lockhart, brother, Verna Cooper of Crestview and sister, Vera Aplin of Florala.
