Laura Burkhart Woodside, daughter of George and Nevada Martha Freeman Burkhart, was born November 9, 1899, at Burchard, Nebr., and died March 27, 1984, at the Republic County Hospital, in Belleville, at the age of 84 years, four months and 18 days.

She received her education in the Burchard, Nebr., Public Schools.

She was united in marriage to Virgil V. Woodside November 20, 1919, at Hebron, Neb., and to this union two children were born. She lived in Haddam for over 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Violet; her husband, Virgil on February 25, 1980; one brother and one sister.

She is survived by one son, William G. Woodside Sr., of Haddam; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Lanfear of Caldwell, Idaho; three grandsons; great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Memorial Chapel of Belleville, March 30, 1984 conducted by the Rev. John Thompson. Interment was in Hubbell Cemetery.
