Graveside services for Jess W. Acuff, 82, McMinnville will be Wednesday, April 16, 1975 at 2:30 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Bernard Turner of First Baptist officiating. Mr. Acuff died April 13 at his home, McMinnville.
He was born Oct. 10, 1892 at Washburn, Tennessee the son of Sam and Dora Nisley Acuff and was raised there. He married Ellie J. Atkins, March 6, 1912 at Flat Creek, Tennessee and had lived in McMinnville since 1915. He owned and operated the Home grocery store on Brockwood for 26 years and retired in 1971. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World, Camp No. 128.
Surviving are: wife, Ellie J. Acuff, McMinnville; son: Carson Acuff, McMinnville; daughters: Armada Acuff, McMinnville and Roberta Widness, Sheridan; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
