Vivian Loraine (Widner) Burt, 81, passed away peacefully January 21, 2015, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 31st at Eastside Cemetery, Midvale. A viewing will be held from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Loraine was born September 19, 1933 in Midvale, Washington County, Idaho to Nathaniel and Amelia Ann (Watkins) Widner. She grew up in Midvale and married James Hollis Burt on September 19, 1953 in Weiser, Idaho. They were sealed in the Boise LDS Temple on September 30, 1986 for Time and All Eternity. They lived in Fruitvale when they were first married and raised two boys, Dave and Dan, in close proximity to Hollis' family. Loraine loved to hunt and fish with her family and took many family outings in mountains around Council, Lost Lake and Price Valley. She loved taking her grandchildren fishing and camping.
Loraine was preceded in death by Hollis, her husband of 60 years; a son, Daniel James Burt; her parents; and two brothers, Loren and Lowell Widner.
She is survived by a son, Dave (Maurine) Burt; a daughter-in-law, Joann Burt; four grandsons, four granddaughters; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
We are grateful for her life and for the wonderful care from all of those at Emeritus Meadowbrook, Heart n' Home Hospice and Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel.
