John was the son of Thomas/Rebecca(Cowen),Thomas was the son of John Wasson, wife unk, who died in Rockbridge County Virginia 1832.Thomas moved to Ohio in 1804.Thomas Wasson and wife connected with U.P. Church at Cherry Fork soon after its organization in 1805 and remained members thereof during their lives.Thomas Wasson's wife died Aug 5 1838 and he survived until Dec 3 1851. They raised a family of 3 sons and 3 Daughters,all who lived to maturity and married.Mr Wasson contracted a second marriage with Elkiah Spencer by whom he had one son William F. born 1845 who died in the service in 1861. /// Thomas Wasson the son of John Wasson 1740-1832 VA Wife unk married Rebecca Cowen and moved to Ohio in 1804.He located within four miles of Winchester,in what was the Wayne Township.He lived there a year or more and then moved onto the farm near Cherry Fork occupied by our subject during his lifetime.Thomas Wasson and his wife connected with the U.P.
