Obituary.

James C. Bolon was born in Ohio, January 31, 1841, where he grew to manhood. He enlisted as a volunteer in Co. A of the 25th Ohio Infantry. He served three years and recieved a gun shot wound in the foot at Chancellorville. He was married to Mary Lane, Sept. 20, 1866, at Casey, Ill. To this union was born three children, Lulu, who died thirteen years ago, Mrs. Ardie Hodgson of Eureka, and Lester Bolon of Chanute, Kansas.

Mr. and Mrs. Bolon came to severy nearly twenty years ago. Later moved to the wester part of the state and returned here about six years ago, since then they have made Severy their home.

Mr. Bolon has been in poor health all summer. He went to Geuda Springs the first of the month but returned a week ago. He has been a great sufferer these last days and died at his home Sept. 19, 1910, nearly 70 years of age.

He will be greatly missed by those who knew him best.

Funeral services were held at the home by Rev. G.J. Rhodes and interment was in Twin Groves cemetery Wednesday Sept. 21.
