MAPLETON, Iowa — Ina “LaVonne” Brown, 98, of Mapleton died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City, Neb., with the Rev. Daryl Kats officiating. Burial will be at Hendley (Neb.) Cemetery.
She was born July 13, 1916, in a sod house on a farm south Hendley to Claude and Gertrude (Dillon) Query.
In July 1939, she married Roland Brown of Wilsonville, Neb. He died Sept. 24, 2001.
Survivors include her son, Lonnie of Decorah; sister, Wanda Bingham of Logan, Utah; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
