Tribute: Dorothy Hoffner was born in Fort Collins to Adam and Molly Greenwalt. She graduated from high school as an Ault High School Bearcat. Dorothy spent her time taking care of her family, traveling with friends and family, participating in the Bridge Club and watching athletic events at Highland High School. She enjoyed swimming, sewing and cooking. Dorothy was a volunteer at the Union Colony Civic Center and donated blood as often as possible in Greeley. She was retired from Highland High School as the assistant librarian and secretary after approximately 30 years. She loved animals and always enjoyed spending time with the 4-H animals on her place. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was proud of her grandchildren and their accomplishments.
Survivors: A son; a daughter; and three grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: Her parents; a son, Dean Hoffner; and two sisters, Shirley Anderson and Jerry Benson.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Pierce.
Inurnment: Sunset Memorial Gardens
