"...In January. 1934, he(Charles) and Ada with two daughters, Richie and Goldie, were vacationing in Florida where on the morning of January 12 they were involved in an automobile collision at Live Oak, Florida. CK and Richie died from the accident and Ada Crossfield was seriously injured,and was taken to a nearby hospital where she remained for some time. Ada suffered physical impairment from the accident and experienced a long illness before she died at her home in Tuckahoe Heights, at Gadsden, Christmas Eve, 1943."
