Cecil "Bud" Bailey, 68, Green Bay, died peacefully on February 1, 2015, at a local hospital. Born on July 24, 1946, in Hobart, Indiana, he is the son of the late Cecil Sr. and Florence (Cihonski) Bailey. He entered the Marine Corps in 1966 and served in Vietnam. In 1967 he was ordered to the Green Bay Naval reserve station. While in Green Bay, he met and married Marlene Dellis on October 4, 1969 at Annunciation BVM. After his honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps, he worked briefly for Green Bay Western Railroad. In 1972 he joined the Green Bay Fire Department, where he worked until his retirement in 2000 as a Captain in fire prevention and inspection. Bud enjoyed golfing, and was an avid Packers fan that attended the Ice Bowl.

Bud is survived by his beloved wife, Marlene; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Pam Asbille, Colorado, Karen (Mike) Thys, Lakewood, CO, Carol (Doug Straehly) Bailey, Arvada, CO, and Judy Ashdown, North Carolina; and one brother and one sister-in-law, Kenneth (Debbie) Bailey, Aurora, CO; and two brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Diane) Dellis, Sun City West, AZ, and Charles Dellis, Milwaukee; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; in-law, Audrey and Harry Dellis; one brother, Kevin "Cubby" Bailey; and one sister-in-law, Carol Eastman.

Per Bud's request, no funeral services will be held. Simply Cremation assisted the family with cremation, 431-0100.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff in the St. Vincent Hospital Critical Care Unit, especially nurse Barb, and Chaplain Mary. They would also like to extend their gratitude to their wonderful friend, Cindi Vandenack, who was there for them.
