Fines Heroin Black was born Oct 11, 1901 at Chant, Scott Co., Arkansas to Jesse and Julia Black. Fines attended school at Belleville, OK.

In 1920 Fines moved to Okla. City and opened a restaurant. . He married Apr 30, 1921 to Alice Smith of Orr. Later they moved to Tulsa where Helen was born Dec 16, 1922 and then to Frederick where Donald Aubrey "Sonny" was born Jan 30, 1925. The couple divorced in 1931.

Fines returned to Belleville and his childhood home at Courtney in the late 1930s. He married Virginia Caswell June 24, 1949 at Ardmore. They lived at Fines' home at Belleville and four children were born: Willie Mae and Billy Rae 21 Oct 1949, Frankie Jo in 1951 and Tommy Joe in 1953.

Fines died at his home Nov 9, 1954 and is buried in Bourland Cem.

Gale Black remembers, "Uncle Fines was always jolly with a distinctive laugh, and he was an excellent cook. At one time he commercial fished at Lake Texhoma and had a small café on Hwy 32 east of Marietta."
