Services for Thomas Edward Brokeshoulder, 90, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Russell Colbert officiating. Interment will follow at McAlister Cemetery.

Born Oct. 8, 1915, at Madill to Adam J. and Sweeney Postoak Brokeshoulder, he died May 4, 2006, at a local hospital. He married Rena Rasha at Ardmore. She preceded him in death on Dec. 27, 1976. He was also preceded in death by a son, Eugene Brokeshoulder on Jan. 7, 1995, two brothers and two sisters.

Thomas lived here all of his life and attended Concord Baptist Church. He served in World War II in the European Theatre as a machine gunner in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge.

Survivors include a son, Floyd Brokeshoulder and his wife, Dolores, Dallas; two daughters, Pat Walters and her husband, Dave, Norman, and Serena Underwood, McAlester; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Bearers are Ryan Colbert, Marshal Lumpmouth, Calvin Johnson, Eddie Brokeshoulder, Wayne Hershel and Brent Underwood. Honorary bearers are David Colbert, Aaron Brokeshoulder, Whirlwind Brokeshoulder, Cliff Brokeshoulder Jr., Bobby Brown and Leonard Brokeshoulder.
