Oletha married James Willard Byrd on December 24, 1943, in Huntsville, Alabama; and to this union was born Sarah Willodene (Marsh), James Willard Jr., Cheryl Elizabeth (Myrick), Pamela Dale (Sisco), Steven Edwin, and Angela Gail (Porterfield).

Elizabeth Oletha Byrd, 92, of Huntsville passed away Monday at her residence. Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her father: Henry Webster; her mother: Mellie Webster; daughter, Cheryl Elizabeth Myrick; one brother: Edwin Webster and one sister: Ruby Champion. Survivors include her husband: James W. Byrd; three daughters: Willodene (Bobby) Marsh, Pamela (Andy) Sisco and Angela Porterfield; two sons: James W. (Geraldine) Byrd, Jr., and Steven E. (Sandra) Byrd; thirteen grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a Chapel service Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. James Harrell and Brother Shannon Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
