Henry C. Jacobs Jr., 90, Mt. Pleasant, father of Briant S. Jacobs of Provo and James L. Jacobson, now of Ogden and formerly of Provo, died Tuesday of causes incident to age in an Ogden rest home.

He was born March 15, 1876, the son of Henry C. and Susan Stringham Jacobs, at Prartsville. He married Alberta Larsen Dec. 17, 1902, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Aug. 7, 1940. Mr. Jacobs had owned and operated Jacobs Mortuary in Mt. Pleasant until his retirement 10 years ago. He was bishop of Mt. Pleasant North LDS Ward for 15 years and president of the Mt. Pleasant Stake from 1936 to 1946. At the time of his death, he was patriarch of the Mt. Pleasant Stake. He was a member of the North Sanpete School Board for 10 years, former Mt. Pleasant city councilman, and the Mt. Pleasant postmaster for 12 years. He was manager of the Progress Mercantile Company for nine years.

Other survivors include two children, Mrs. R. D. (Dorothy) Buchanan of Richfield and H. Charlton Jacobs of Mt. Pleasant; brothers and sisters, Briant S. Jacobs, Mrs. David J. (Mary) Wilson, and Mrs. Paul (Oa) Cannon, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Carlyle (Emma) Hinckley, Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Vilate J. Thatcher, Hunstville; Heber G. Jacobs of Provo, and J. Smith Jacobs of La Mesa, Calif.
