His original burial was on the Bamberger Farm, Buffalo Springs,which is now defunct. Most, if not all of the remains of that cemetery were moved here and at this time the disposition of the tombstones is unknown.
Some have challenged because his name was not included when the others were moved he should be considered yet on the farm, or in the unknown category. However, it is my consideration that if all the former farm cemetery remains were believed to be brought to this new designated hallowed ground, Joseph's remains should be considered here too. As well as all the other burials unaccounted for from that cemetery.
