Giovanni Randazzo, age 96, passed away June 17 at his home in Wickenburg.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 21 at St Anthony's Catholic Church with Fr. George Highberger as celebrant. Visitation was from 9:30am until service time. Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery in Staten Island, NY, following a funeral mass on Thursday, June 26 in Brooklyn.

Giovanni was born and raised in Sicily and was a farmer there for years before immigrating to the United States in 1955 and settling in Brooklyn. He had worked in the bottling manufacturing industry for years.

He came to Arizona in 2003 living with his son and daughter-in-law here in Wickenburg. He could be seen almost daily in Wickenburg in his wheelchair with his son Biagio pushing him where he wanted to go. Giovanni was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church.

He is survived by his children Biagio Randazzo (Rowena) of Wickenburg, Nancy Riccobono (Jiacomo) of Tempe, and Maria Orlando (Mario) of Scottsdale, 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Arrangements were under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory.
