Mrs. Elizabeth M. Greene, wife of George K. Greene and stepmother of Mayor Newton A. Greene, died last night at her home, West First and Market streets, after a short illness of acute indigestion. She was sixty-five years old and was an old resident of the city. Besides her husband, who was formerly state geologist of Indiana, she leaves two stepsons, Mayor Greene and William A. Greene, who lives in Silver Grove, and three stepdaughters, Mrs. E. C. Anderson and Mrs. E. H. Stocksdale, of Louisville, and Mrs. John W. Tiland, of Memphis, Tenn.
