Juanita May Frazier, 78, of the North Adams Home at Mendon, formerly of Ursa, died at 9 p.m. Saturday (May 27, 1989) in the emergency room of St. Mary Hospital in Quincy.
Mrs. Frazier was born April 8, 1911, in Ursa, a daughter of James Irvin and Grace Smith Agard. She married Charles Joel Frazier Oct. 16, 1946, in the home of the Rev. L. C. Mauck. He died Sept. 9, 1984.
A member of Ursa Christian Church, Mrs. Frazier also had been a secretary of the Golden Rule Sunday School Class of the church. She had attended Fairview, Indian Graves and Old Rudell grade schools, all near Ursa, and graduated from the Mendon Township High School. She was past worthy matron of the former Ursa Order of Eastern Star 993 and was a current member of the Mendon OES 153.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lemuel (Dorothy) Frazier of Ursa; four nephews, John Frazier of Oak Lawn, James Frazier of Ursa, William Frazier of Odell, and Robert Frazier of Grand Island, Neb.
Services were conducted today in the Curry-Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon by the Rev. Steve Allen. Burial was in New Providence Cemetery at Ursa.
Memorials may be made to Ursa Christian Church or the North Adams Home.
