Mr. James Foss Albright, age 92 of Carrollton, Georgia died Saturday, January 31, 2015.
Mr. Albright was born in Mt. Zion, Georgia on December 22, 1922, the son of the late Wilburn Luther Albright and Mary Etta Ashmore Albright.
He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was a Mason and Shriner, a member of the Civitan Club and Carrollton First United Methodist Church. Mr. Albright was former owner/operator of Albright Machine and Grinding.
Survivors include his wife, Robbie Albright; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Gary Lane of Carrollton; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Kathy Albright of Mt. Zion, Bryan and Brooke Albright of Roopville, John Albright of Calhoun; grandchildren, Henry and Will Albright, Jack and Max Albright, David West, Charles Bassel, Emily Bassel; great grandchildren; brother, Lynn Albright of Carrollton and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Albright; daughter, Carol Bassel; sisters, Mary Mosley, Lillian Brown and brother, Carl Albright.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Funeral service will be Monday, February 2 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Dr. Dean Milford officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Mosley, Jeff Brown, Wilburn Albright, Pat Albright, Dennis Albright and Wiley Gammon, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Friendship Sunday School Class.
Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens with American Legion Post #143 providing military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carrollton First United Methodist Church 206 Newnan Street, Carrollton, Georgia 30117 or Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park, P. O. Box 1062, Carrollton, Georgia 30112.
