GLOVER, Rachel; wife of Solomon Glover, and formerly wife of Stephen Ambler, of Danbury;in Newtown; 11 Jun 1838; age 79. Her remains were brought to this town for internment.

Rachel is sourced on page 183 of Hurd's History of Fairfield County, Connecticut (1881). She describes the British invading Danbury while she and her mother were quilting. Rachel was 16 at the time Danbury was burned.
