Son of Noah Wood and Eliza Jane Gorham; husb. of Caroline Frances Lovell. He died of a heart attack probably induced by food poisoning. A graduate of the Wilton Academy, Yale and Columbia Law. He was a Capt. of the New Jersey National Guard Rifle Team. A Lawyer until his early deafness made it impossible to practice he joined the "American Express" office in Hudson NY. He fathered three children Walter Lovell Wood and William Frederick Wood both lived to adulthood and had families. His only daughter Annie Mason Wood died at 18 mos.
