According to the application of William Joseph Bulleit, grandson of Amos Johnson, great-grandson of Henson Johnson, to the Indiana Society of of the Sons of the American Revolution, Henson died the 9th day of June, 1859. Pension papers give a death month of January.

That Henson and Jane are on the 1830 Census in Burke County, NC as being between the ages of 20-29 with one young child under the age of 5. That would make that Henson and Jane at the outmost with birth dates between 1800 and 1810. Those individuals are therefore not the Harrison County Johnson family. There is also no mention of a marriage to a Mary in Henson's pension papers or the application to the Sons of the Revolution.
By 1840 Henson is in Posey, Harrison County, Indiana age 77 and a veteran, along with James Johnson age 80 and James Case age 79.
