Laura "Ruth" Rooks, age 93, of Holland died Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Lakeside Villa and Vistas.
Ruth was a member of Christ Memorial Church. She graduated from Indiana University where she met her husband Bill. She was a teacher at West Ottawa schools. Most of her 28 years was spent at Glerum Elementary. She was a member of the Western Seminary President's Club. Ruth and Bill really enjoyed square dancing.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Christ Memorial Chapel, 595 Graafschap Road, please use entrances D or E. Reverends Bill Boersma and Jack Millard will be officiating. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2015 at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Memorial contributions may be given to Western Seminary or Words of Hope.
