June 8, 1948

"Temperance - Mrs. Maysi Belle Brunt, 62, of 1158 West Main St. died yesterday afternoon in Toledo at Parkview Hospital where she had been the past four days. She died of diabetic ailment from which she has suffered several years. The body will be removed from the Farnham Funeral Home to her residence this afternoon where friends may call. Services will be Thursday from her residence at 1:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. at the Temperance Baptist Church. The Rev. Richard Nyburg, pastor and the Rev. E. J. Graham, pastor of the Third Baptist Church of Flint, will officiating. Mrs. Brunt's husband Irwin, died April 25, 1946. They were married October 12, 1904. Mrs. Brunt was born May 22, 1886 and was a life-long resident of Temperance. Surviving are children, Earl of LaSalle, Kenneth of Battle Creek, Ellis of Temperance, Clair of Temperance: Mrs. Merle Yarger of Erie, Mrs. Ruth Jones of LaSalle, one brother, Elton Elliott of Temperance, sisters, Mrs. Dora Adams of Temperance, Mrs. Rhoda Whitmill of Marion, Mich, Miss Della Elliott, and Miss Iva Elliott, both of Temperance. There were also 14 grandchildren. Bearers are John Whitman, James Kinney, Claude Shorter, Roger Eisenmann, M. C. Kinney and Wiliam Cooper."
