ERIE-----Mrs Alvin (Ethel Merle Brunt) Yarger, 75, of 1155 E. Rauch Rd, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Toledo Hospital, Toledo, where he had been since Thursday. She had been in poor health for four years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Temperance. Born Jan 13, 1906 in Samaria, she was the daughter of Irwin and Maysie (Elliott) Brunt. She married Alvin Yarger July 22, 1926 in her parents' home in Samaria. She was employed by the Monroe County Farm Bureau Center, Ida, as a secretary from 1954 until 1956. She was an active member of the LaSalle Women's Christian Temperance Union and a member of the Retiree Group at the First Baptist Church, Temperance.


She is survived by her husband, 4 sons, Richard of Kalamazoo, Lowell of Toledo, Paul of Osseo and Marvin of Jackson, 3 brothers, Kenneth Brunt of Monroe and Earl and Clare Brunt, both of Temperance, a sister, Mrs Richard (Ruth) Jones of Ida, and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ellis Brunt. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church. Bearers were Ned and Brent Yarger, James, Dennis and Donald Brunt, and Wayne Jones.
