Graveside services for Mr. Luther A. Cherry, 93, of the North Springs community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held on Sunday, December 26, at the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community.
The family will receive friends Saturday and
Sunday at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.
Mr. Cherry passed away on Friday, December 24, 2004, at the Mabry Health Care and Rehab Center in Gainesboro.
He was born January 12, 1911, in Clay County, TN, to the late Silas and Ollie Nevada Cherry.

In September, 1935, Mr. Cherry was married to the late Ina Mosley Cherry, who passed away in 1974.
He was a sawyer and a farmer, and was a member of the North Springs Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by
3 Brothers: Arnold E. Cherry, Joe Reynolds Cherry, and Louis Cherry;
1 Sister: Lucille Wilson; and 1 Son-in-law: Bill C. Davis.

Survivors include 2 Sons and 1 Daughter-in-Law: Joe & Judy Cherry and Donald Cherry, all of Gainesboro, TN;
2 Daughters and 1 Son-in-Law: Faye Davis and Shirley & Steve Fuqua, all of Cookeville, TN;

4 Grandchildren: Jo-Jo Cherry of Gainesboro, TN, Danny Campbell Davis of Nashville, TN,
Paul Davis and Treva Davis, both of Cookeville, TN;

2 Brothers: Roy Cherry and Dillard Cherry; and
2 Sisters: Pauline Beals and Willadean Dixon.
He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
