...The year Vada was born Billy moved his family to Lone Oak, Texas in Hunt County. The seasons rolled on and there were many changes in all their lives. All the older children married young. Susan and Billy's grandchildren were arriving. About this time Susan's health failed. The bearing of many children, heavy work at the farm and hardships she had endured during these lean years, took their toll. She suffered pneumonia and died. Susan was buried in the Hall Cemetery. A quiet, lovely little cemetery with a little white church standing nearby; a pretty setting, but lonely. Then more lonely in later years when the little church burned to the ground...
