They have a daughter, Ann, who is 3 yrs old on the 1870 Washington Co., IN census. In 1880, there is an Anna Durnell, age 11, born IN, living in the household of Albert Scott in Marion Co., IN. Albert Scott was married to Sallie R. Elliott and her sister, Margaret Elliott is living with them. All of these people had ties to New Albany, IN and Louisville, KY. The Elliotts, Durnells and Scotts are buried at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany, IN.

"The funeral of Mrs. Anna Hallenberg, who died of pneumonia on Sunday night, will take place from the family residence, 1508 Eighteenth street, this afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Mrs. Hallenberg died after an illness of only one week. She was the wife of Henry J. Hallenberg, secretary and treasurer of the Wedekind-Hallenberg Tanning Company. She was the daughter of Marcellus Dunnell (sic), of New Albany, and was the niece of Mr. Albert Scott, with whom she lived until her marriage, eight years ago. Besides her husband, Mrs. Hallenberg is survived by two sons, aged five and seven years. The Rev. Fred V. Hawley, of the Unitarian church, will conduct the services. The burial will be in Cave Hill cemetery."
