ALICE P. McDONOUGH, 91, of Minnesota Avenue, a retired employee of the Hope Paper Box Co., died yesterday at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre, Cranston.

She was the wife of the late Thomas J. McDonough. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Wade) Casey, she had lived in Cranston and Providence before moving to Warwick last year.

Mrs. McDonough had been employed at Hope Paper Box, in Providence, for 40 years, retiring in 1982.

A member of the Cranston Senior Citizens, she also volunteered at the center and was a member of its Sunny Seniors.

She was a board member of RSVP, and a former secretary of the Garden City Club of Cranston. Mrs. McDonough was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Fall River.

She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, enjoyed playing bingo, and loved animals.

She leaves three sons, Thomas A., Edward W. and Robert J. McDonough, all of Cranston; and five grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Patricia McDonough, and sister of the late John Casey, Mary Sormonti and Catherine G. Fernandes.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. from Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Mark Church, Garden City. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
