Daughter of Nicholas Beery and his second wife, Mary Good Beery. She married Joseph N. Hite, 24 Dec 1814 in Virginia. In about 1815, Joseph and Rebecca relocated to Thurston, Ohio, where all 9 of their children were born. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church at Thurston. Her husband, Joseph, is said to have been the owner of the site of Thurston, Ohio. He was a prominent member of the Primitive Baptist Church and granted land to the church in 1832 for locating a meeting house. He was also a veteran of the War of 1812.

Three of Joseph and Rebecca's sons went on to help establish the Wabash Primitive Baptist Church still located in Huntington County, Indiana.
