Hunter Lee McCormick, 77, of Lexington, died Monday, February 15, 1993 at the Stonewall Jackson Hospital, Lexington. Mr. McCormick was born in Rockbridge County on December 21, 1915, a son of the late William Baxter McCormick and Myrtle Rhea McCormick. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the Independent Order Odd Fellows #58 and the Encampment #60. He is survived by his wife, Helen Irene Smiley McCormick, Lexington; two daughters, Sandra Slough, Buena Vista, Sharon Agee, Penhook; two sisters, Margaret Mays, Virginia Beach, Beatrice Vogel, Baltimore, Md.; two grandchildren, Kimberly Shafer, Buena Vista, Jesse Darrell Sorrells, Vinton; one great-grandson, Dillon Lee Shafer, Buena Vista. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 18, 1993 at 2 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Patrick officiating with burial to follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens, Lexington. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to the Lexington First Aid Crew. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
