NEWPORT – Wallace M. Nelson, 85, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2015. He was born December 9, 1929 in Southborough, MA, a son of Wallace N. and Edith A. (Reynolds) Nelson.
Bud was a member of the Emmanuel Bible Baptist Church in Plymouth. He is remembered as a devoted husband and father, and, as a man of quiet strength who knew life was given to be spent for others.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Geraldine; his daughters, Virginia Grant, Alice Spaulding, and Joanne Reiniger; as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Alexander and Robert Nelson; and a sister, Ethel Nelson Armstrong.
