Stephanie Hopkins, age 25, of Moravia passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015, at her home in Moravia.
Stephanie was born December 3, 1989 in Ottumwa to Roger and Sabrina (Fry) Hopkins. She attended Moravia Schools, graduating in 2008. After high school, Stephanie also took on-Line College courses for computers.
Stephanie collected Beanie Babies. She was very talented on the computer and enjoyed spending time on the computer doing things such as shopping and Facebooking. She enjoyed watching television, especially Power Rangers, Say Yes to the Dress and Extreme Couponing.
Stephanie is survived by her father, Roger Hopkins of Plano; her mother, Sabrina Hopkins(Tom Wollums)of Moravia; 2 sisters, Tina(Ryan)Vosberg of Pocahontas and Melissa Hopkins(Tim Dennison)of Moravia; 2 nieces, Stacy Hopkins and Keirah Talbert; and a nephew, Zander Talbert; her grandparents, Shirley Fry of Albia and Richard and Marjorie Hopkins of Unionville, IA; an uncle, Buck(Mary Pat)Fry of Albia; 5 aunts, Sharon Brinegar of Udell, Janice(Carl)Brandt of Des Moines, Paula(Ed)Chadwick of Ottumwa, Teresa(Scott)Amendt of Pleasantville, and Michele(Tim)Van Antwerp of Unionville; step-sister, Jamie Wollums; step-brother, Tyler Wollums. She is also survived by several cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jackie Fry, Sr.; and uncle, Jackie Fry, Jr.; and several friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with John Van Weelden officiating. Burial will follow services in Haines Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation will be held from 11 am - 8 pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with Stephanie's family present from 5-8 pm In Lieu of flowers an open memorial has been established in Stephanie's name.
