A funeral service for Thomas Dean Minton, Sr., 73, of Newark, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Bible Baptist Church, with Pastor Paul Reimer officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Brucker and Kishler funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark. Thomas passed away January 16, 2015, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center. He was born February 23, 1941, in Sayre, OK, to the late Clay T. and Ola (Maddox) Minton. He is survived by his wife, Carol A. (Springston) Minton; sons, Thomas (Lavonne) Minton, Jr., Tim (Jody) Minton, and Chad Minton; twin sister, Donnas (Troy) Admire, brothers, Ross (Cheryl) Minton and Ron (Nancy) Minton; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randy Minton; sister, Patsy Pace, and brother, Steve Minton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bible Baptist Church.
