Donna B. Roper 97, passed away January 23, 2015 in Brigham City, Utah. She was born September 8, 1917 in Egypt, Idaho to George and Rosetta Barfus Young. She graduated from Oneida High School in 1935.
She married Willis O Roper November 15, 1940 in the Logan LDS Temple. They were blessed with four children, Allene (Glenn) Mattson, Orrin (Julie), Dennis (Debbie), and Garry (Cindy).
Mom had a day care in her home and was the first licensed day care provider in Logan. She enjoyed all types of handwork, especially quilting and tatting, which she shared generously with others.
She is survived by her children, one sister, Julia Smith, and sister-in-law Della Eddington. Also 16 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and many wonderful friends who became like family to her.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Willis, five brothers, two sisters, one grandson, two great-grandsons and one sweet great-granddaughter.
We would like to express our appreciation to everyone who has shown loving care and service to our wonderful mother, especially the many friends and staff at Maple Springs in Brigham.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, January 28th, 2015 at Nelson Funeral Home, 162 E. 400 N. in Logan, Utah. There will be a visitation from 10:00 until 11:30 prior to the services. Interment-Preston, Idaho Cemetery.
