Emily Catherine Bratton was born in 1854, the daughter of Adam M. & Mary Ann 'Grenard' Bratton. (Records show her name as 'Emily'. Gravestone gives it as 'Emma'. Therefore I will show her name as 'Emily').

Emily married James Albert Glaze Jr. in 1884 in Russell County, Kansas. They had one daughter:
Ethel Leota Glaze - 1886-1972.

Emily died at her father's home in Nov of 1888 from a long suffering illness which she endured for 2 years. Her father was also ill and died just one month later on 27 Dec. 1888 .

She was buried in Grand Center Cemetery.
