Arthur James Hill, Sr., born April 1, 1923 in Buffalo, New York passed away at the age of 91 years old with his wife Florence Lorraine Hill of 69 years at his side on January 22, 2015 at 1:15 p.m., at the Seton Medical Center of Kyle, Texas.
He is survived by his wife Florence Lorraine Hill, 3 children: Arthur James Hill, Jr., Roderick Dennis Hill, and Jeanine Ruth Hill; 8 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
He was a beloved husband, father and military man. Retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sargent after 22 years of service. He was a highly decorated World War II Combat Veteran, Normandy Invasion survivor, Battle of the Buldge survivor, and a member of General George Patton's 3rd Army. Among his many decorations he received is the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Kyle VFW.
There will be a graveside ceremony in April at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas, date and time to be confirmed at a later date.
