Emma B. Brand

Mt. Pleasant - Mrs. Emma B. Brand, 73, widow of George W. Brand, former prominent builder and contractor, died at the family home, 450 W. 1st North, Monday of a lingering illness.

Mrs. Brand was born in Mt. Pleasant, Jan. 25, 1871, a daughter of Carl G. and Mary Wall Bjelke.

She received her education at Wasatch academy, and was married July 6, 1893, to George W. Brand. He died in August, 1937.

She was a charter member and past worthy matron of Ivy chapter No. 10, O E S, a member of the First Presbyterian church and Woman's Missionary society and a member of the Home Culture club.
