Bob Morris was born and grew up in the Casimiro Romero house in Old Tascosa. His first ranch was with the LS Ranch in 1929. He went to work at the Matador Wagon in 1932.
He said he "got a bad reputation for being able to get along with any kind of horse and there seemed to be a lot of those kinds."
In 1930 he worked for the Whittenburg Ranch. "They had horses in every pasture. When we made a cattle drive, we always gathered some horses. We got one, a pretty good sorrel, name of Show Boy. One of the kids there told me before breakfast the next morning, "You are going to ride Show Boy." Show Boy lived up to his name. He bucked and bawled and stirred up the dust. Next day or two we gathered a horse called YoYo. He had crippled a man the year before. We were close to the small town of (old) Plemons. A lot of people came out to see somebody ride Ol' YoYo. Well, I saddled YoYo and got on. He didn't move and I didn't either for about five minutes. He started off and I went with him and disappointed the crowd."

Survivors are his wife, Vera, Channing, Texas; daughters Cheryl Jean Spears of Barlesville, Oklahoma and Sandy Miller of Boise City, Oklahoma; a son, David "Rooster" Morris of Romero, Texas and six grandchildren.
