Lloyd Edward Rose, 77, of Oliver Street, Piketon, Ohio died 7:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio.
He was born 15 April 1937 in Omega, Ohio the son of the late Andrew Jackson Rose and Mollie Marie (Woods) Rose. On 30 January 1960 he was united in marriage to Sharon Nina (Bowman) Rose who preceded him in death on 4 August 1997.
Surviving are two sons, seven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
His parents, wife, two brothers, John F. and Ronald Rose and three sisters, Kathryn Russell, Eula Aldenderfer and Juanita Bowman, preceded Lloyd in death.
Lloyd was a retired Correction Officer, South Hampton, Virginia, member of American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly, Ohio and a member of the Piketon VFW Post.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, 24 January 2015 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Paul Gibson, Minister Officiating. Burial will follow in Omega Cemetery, Waverly. The American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly, will conduct graveside Military Services.
Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home from 5 – 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
